Mail Jeevas, better known as Matt, is a major antagonist in the second half of Death Note. He's an accomplice with the Kira case, acting as Mello 's backup. Matt likes video games and dislikes going outside. In the anime, he is rarely seen. He is only seen again during Kiyomi Takada 's kidnapping, where he distracts her bodyguards with a smoke.

Matt (マット Matto ), real name is Mail Jeevas is a cohort of Mello. He mostly does espionage work for Mello and was involved with the kidnapping of Takada. Apart from this not much else is know about Matt, other than he was once a resident at Wammy's House. Whilst working under Mello, he also spied on Misa Amane and followed her movements.

Matt didn't work either. We can very safely assume just based on his personality that he never put in much work studying, at least not nearly as much as Mello, and yet he was the third smartest. Matt is /also/ a gifted child. (And being the third smartest after Near and Mello isn't anything to scoff at, that still puts him way above an average.
